Pipelines & Protocols

Reproducible workflows and version-controlled methods

White Lab Neuro is committed to transparent and reproducible research. Our GitHub repository provides a central home for pipelines, workflows and version-controlled protocols developed in the lab.

As the lab grows, the WhiteLabNeuro pipelines-and-protocols repository will provide a clearer record of how analyses were run and how methods evolved across projects. This includes computational workflows, structured documentation and selected experimental protocols linked to specific datasets, projects or manuscripts where appropriate.

Our aim is to support consistency, traceability and open science across the lab’s work, while making it easier for collaborators, trainees and the wider research community to understand and reuse selected resources.

What you will find

Analysis pipelines

Computational workflows for transcriptomic and related analyses, including space for reusable and project-linked approaches as the repository develops.

Version-controlled protocols

Protocols that can be updated over time, helping track how methods develop as projects mature and new approaches are introduced.

Project-linked resources

Materials associated with specific datasets, figures, manuscripts or collaborative projects where public sharing is appropriate.

Documentation and guidance

README files, versioning notes and practical documentation to make workflows easier to interpret, reproduce and adapt.

Why this matters

Research in White Lab brings together human stem-cell models, molecular neuroscience, transcriptomics and data analysis. As these projects become more complex, clear versioning and well-documented workflows become increasingly important.

Keeping pipelines and protocols in a visible, version-controlled space helps support rigorous research practice within the lab and makes it easier to connect methods to publications, datasets and evolving projects over time.

  • Supports reproducibility
  • Tracks method development over time
  • Links workflows to projects and publications
  • Improves internal consistency across the lab
  • Helps collaborators and trainees navigate methods
  • Contributes to open and transparent science

Growing with the lab

This part of the website will expand over time as White Lab develops new workflows, generates new datasets and builds a stronger collection of reusable resources. At this stage, it points visitors to the lab’s repository as the best place to follow how these materials are being organised and developed.
